Our client need a subscription website where potential clients could sign up for monthly access to legal advice. So we set up a website they can easily maintain themselves. We added in e-commerce functionality and used PayPal to handle the recurring billing. We also installed vBulletin forum and closed it off to public view so that you have to pay in order to have access to the forum.
All in all, a very simple and effective way of charging for access to members-only resources.
