Google Wave for Project Planning & Brainstorming

Google Wave is Google's new collaboration and communication tool. It allows you to share your thoughts, videos, documents and a LOT more - LIVE - with everyone else participating in your wave.

So, for example, if you want a new web site, and you have some ideas you'd like to flesh out with the help of your web developer, you'd start a new Google Wave, load up examples of what you like, don't like, etc, invite them on board and continue brainstorming until you have something you're happy with.

Google Wave allows you to embed videos, polls, comments and it keeps track of when each part of the wave was added so you can play it back in the correct order to see how your ideas flourished into a final project.

I didn't think Google Wave was going to be particularly useful but this feature alone will make it a very important part of my business! Other things you can do with Google Wave include: Organising Events (who's coming, who's bringing what), Keeping Meeting Notes (including embeddable videos, links & more), sharing photos from a group event or conference (!) and a LOT more.

So it looks like Google Wave really IS going to change (or at least add to) the way we communicate - and I'm looking forward to it! Contact me for an invite :)
